We are proud to announce the official launch of the CLIMAS Project – Climate-Neutral Multistakeholder Action for Sustainability, a bold and forward-thinking initiative that aims to transform Skopje into a model of climate neutrality and citizen-driven sustainability.

As a REINFORCING Grantee, Digital Wisdom is leading this exciting 12-month journey in partnership with the Institute for Ecology in Slovenia. Together, we will leverage the principles of Open and Responsible Research and Innovation (ORRI) to co-create scalable solutions for cleaner, more resilient cities—starting with our own.

The CLIMAS project was born from a pressing challenge: Skopje remains one of Europe’s most polluted cities, while cities like Ljubljana are making rapid progress toward climate neutrality. This stark contrast inspired our mission—to bridge that gap through knowledge exchange, digital innovation, and inclusive citizen engagement.

At the heart of CLIMAS lies a blend of cutting-edge technology and community-driven action. The project will introduce an AI-enhanced digital platform designed to allow citizens, researchers, and policymakers to interact with real-time climate data and collaboratively test and design sustainability measures.

By integrating smart tools with real-world feedback, we aim to launch AI-supported pilot projects that demonstrate real, measurable environmental improvements.

Three Key Outcomes

Over the next year, CLIMAS will deliver:

• SMART Framework: A model for sustainable, multistakeholder collaboration based on lessons from Ljubljana.

• CLEAR Handbook: A roadmap of best practices for cities aiming to achieve climate neutrality.

• CLEAN Platform: An AI-driven digital hub for emissions analysis, climate learning, and community engagement.
